Short Review: She & Him's Volume 2.
She & Him, is an indie super group of sorts, consisting of members Zooey Deschanel, and M. Ward, along with touring band mates. They're new album Volume 2 is released March 23rd, but, we've had the pleasure of listening a tad bit early. The album is absolutely incredible. It opens up with a sorrowful song, called Thieves. The mood instantly changes, though, going into tracks two and three, In The Sun, & Don't Look Back. Track four is my absolute favorite, a duet with Zooey and M. Ward, titled In My Car. The entire album is incredible, and, it's going to be one of those albums that you can listen to in any mood, and your spirit will automaticly better itself. Zooey Deschanel, is by far one of music's most profound female musicians. Her voice is smooth, yet bold,it can bring out any type of mood, set by the theme of the lyrics, and you can feel the emotion as you hear it in her voice. All in all, I would rate the album 5 out of 5 stars. It's amazingly perfect, sounds of happiness and sunshine, but with an undertone of sadness. It doesn't need any change, for better or worse. Honestly, it couldn't get any better.
