Bands We Love: Deerhunter!
Who are they?
Deerhunter is an American four-piece indie rock group originating from Atlanta, Georgia. The band, consisting of Bradford Cox, Moses Archuleta, Josh Fauver, and Lockett Pundt, have described themselves as "ambient punk," though they incorporate a wide range of genres, including noise rock, art rock, shoegaze, and post-punk, as well significant pop elements. The band has gone through several line-up changes and the death of a member.
Why do we love them?
Because their discography is really varied, from sorrowful to the really catchy track titled "Nothing Ever Happened." They make fun music videos, and, unlike most indie bands, they don't used time lapsed image, puppetry, and ect.
What songs should you listen to?
All of them, but, if your only going to pick a couple then pick these:
"Nothing Ever Happened."
"Language/Violence."
"Octe1."
"Fluorescent Grey."
"Saved by Old Times."
"Slow Swords."
"Famous Last Words."
(These are my favorites, but I'm sure that you'll like them, too.
