Ok Go shines at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.

Saturday was an interesting day, filled with some crap bands, some bands I kinda liked, but hadn't really payed that much attention to, and some bands that I'm in love with, such as Coheed and Cambria, Crash Kings, Flobots, and Ok Go. All of these bands were brought together for a special event, the Q101 Jamboree, and all though most of the bands were hard rock, I managed to have a good time. Anyway, to the reviews.


Coheed and Cambria.



There isn't a bad thing to say about these guys. They took stage about ten minutes early, and played a 40 minute set, hitting up all of the classics like Welcome Home, The Reaping, and a few others, including newer songs like Here We Are Juggernaut. They didn't play Blood Red Summer or A Favor House Atlantic, but I don't blame them. What a good 40 minutes.

Flobots.
I only caught a short part of the set, but they are incredible live. Very eclectric.

Hollywood Undead.



I can't say that I was a big fan before hand, but after watching these guys (I don't get into hard rock normally) I can say that I appreciate them a lot more. They came on stage to 26,000 people screaming and rocking out to the song Undead, most people even had the Charlie Scene bandanas covering they're faces. I didn't realize that they were this popular. They hit up they're entire discography pretty much, playing every song from the debut album Swan Songs, and everyone in the crowd sang along, not mising a word.

Ok Go!!!!!


I wasn't really sure what to expect, as I hadn't heard good or bad about the live performance they offer. They came on stage, and the crowd began to cheer and clap. The vocalist got really into it, and even crowd surfed. They played pretty much all of they're discography, and even covered the Pixies song Debaser. Such a good performance.
