Be Prepared For: Lollapalooza.
In less than a week, the entire music community will reunite yet again, for the hottest weekend of the year here in Chicago, musically and physically. We'll all be partying to music among the likes of vast masses of other people, singing along to classics like Jimmy Cliff and Mavis Staples, and newer musicians, like Lady Gaga. We'll see bands that got us through high school, and middle school, like Arcade Fire and The Strokes, and our big brothers and sisters can come, to see they're high school favorites Soundgarden and Green Day. This can only happen at one place, that would be Grant Park in Chicago, and on the weekend of August 6th to the 8th, it will be home to Lollapalooza.
What to expect:
Heat, Expensive Beer, Tons Of Dancing, and lines for the port-a-potties.
The crowd will cap out at around 90,000, thanks to the bigger foot print, so be prepared to dance near a few extra people. However, there will never be a dull moment, and you'll remember this weekend forever....
What to bring:
A water bottle, tons of money, energy, sunscreen. Try not to bring a back pack, as you'll get tired of carrying it, but there is the free bad valet.
Where it's at:
Grant Park, right downtown in Chicago between Lakeshore Drive and Michigan Avenue. Take public transportation to save time and money.
Make sure to enjoy yourselves, and you might see us out there....
