North Coast - Know Before You Go: Tickets, Map, and More!!

Chicago's only locally organized music festival, put on by locals for locals dubbed as "Summer's Last Stand" is approaching, and here is an answer to every question you have, so that you don't have to ask the promoters and organizers during this busy week of preparation. The festival kicks off Friday September 2nd, 2011 at 3:00PM, and will last until Sunday September 4th, 2011 at 10:00 PM. North Coast Music Group is a collaboration of independent promoters in Chicago. We are React Presents,Silver Wrapper, Cold Grums Productions, Kingtello and Metronome Chicago. With a collective 50 years producing events, we’ve presented everything from small shows to selling out large scale concerts. Some of us specialize in electronic, hip hop, jam band, indie rock and all kinds of genres. With this festival we’ve come together to celebrate the merging of all music and walks of life that enjoy it as much as we do.

Ticket Pickup:

The North Coast Music Festival box office will open up on Thursday 9/1 at 3:00 PM. The box office hours are as follows:

Thur Sept 1st - 3pm - 9pm ( ** HIGHLY SUGGESTED )

Fri Sept 2nd - 11am - 9pm

Sat Sept 3rd - 11am - 9pm

Sun Sept 4th - 11am - 9pm

Re-Entry

There will be NO RE-ENTRY into the festival.

Will be available on festival grounds.

Parking

Parking will be limited. Stay tuned for parking options and bicycle accommodations.

Entry and Security

Everyone entering the fest ground will be searched upon entry. You will need to empty your pockets and have all items examined. Narcotics officers will be working inside and outside of the event. All narcotic laws will be strictly enforced. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages will be served to those only with a government-issued photo ID. You must show your ID to a festival employee to get at 21+ wristband.

Weather

Weather can be tough here in Chicago, but the people of this fair city are tougher. The festival will take place rain or shine and as all artists advertised have confirmed to play, sometimes the weather does not allow them to travel to Chicago. In this instance, acts are subject to change without notice so it’s best to visit the website for the most up-to-date info.

What You Cannot Bring

Everyone entering the fest ground will be searched upon entry.

These items are PROHIBITED:

Large lounge chairs, tents, knives or anything deemed a weapon, video or audio recording devices, professional cameras, pets, food, glass containers, beverages except for sealed water, aerosol cans of ANY kind, drugs or drug paraphernalia, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling or giveaways.

What You Can Bring

These items are ALLOWED:

Digital phone or disposable cameras, fanny packs, purses, European carry-alls, and normal sized school backpacks although keep in mind everything will be searched and the more stuff you bring the longer everyone has to wait in line. Lawn chairs, blankets, hipster sunglasses, floppy hats, lighters, cigarettes, sun block, lip gloss, empty plastic containers, umbrellas, binoculars, etc.

Will Call Information

Valuable WILL CALL Information

Always thinking of our supporters first Coasties will have the chance to pick up their tickets from will call early. Visiting Will Call on Thursday is highly recommended. Here’s some valuable info for anyone headed to will call.

• Valid ID: All attendees, even those with hard tickets, should have a valid state or federally issued ID.
• Will Call location: Ashland Avenue between Lake and Washington, just south of the Main Entrance.
• Will Call hours:
  • Thursday: 3pm-9pm
  • Friday: 11am-9pm
  • Saturday: 11am-9pm
  • Sunday: 11am-9pm
  • Anyone picking up will call tickets will need a government issued ID that matches the name at Will Call to receive your tickets

Groupon Will Call

Groupon buyers have a separate will call tent. Your Groupon voucher will be scanned, and if valid, you will receive three single day passes. In addition to your ID, bring the credit card you used for your purchase should there be issues.
