Today, Electric Forest announces its 2013 artist lineup. Returning to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan on June 27- June 30, live music pioneers The String Cheese Incident (3 performances), Pretty Lights, Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, Knife Party and Dispatch will top the bill at Electric Forest 2013. The festival's annual Food Drive, hosted each year in partnership with not-for-profit organization Conscious Alliance, was renamed the Roy Price Memorial Food Drivein 2012 to honor cherished Electric Forest neighbor and huge Food Drive supporter, the late Mr. Roy Price. Each year Electric Forest patrons are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, and are thanked with an exclusive Electric Forest Food Drive poster. To date, Electric Forest has collected and distributed over 17,200 lbs. of food to local communities in need. Also returning is the Electric Forest Music In Schools Program, where EF partners with local public schools Shelby High School and Montague High School and Middle School to help support music education.
