Lady Gaga's Five Best Performances

youtube.com
Lady Gaga amazed Oscars viewers on Sunday with her Sound of Music performance, leaving many people saying it's her best performance to date. Just when fans think that Mother Monster has done everything, she pulls a new trick from her sleeve. Because Gaga's music is so varied, it's tough to put her performances head to head, but here are a few Lady Gaga numbers that are sure to make everyone put their paws up.

"Orange Colored Sky"

Gaga has mentioned in interviews that she used to perform this jazz standard when she was an up-and-coming artist in New York. It was included in her Thanksgiving special, but there's something especially enchanting about her performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend.

"Teeth"

Mother Monster challenged everyone who has ever accused her of lip syncing during her performance of "Teeth" on the second leg of her Monster Ball tour. She riffs like a mad woman and creates a ten-minute spectacle of this four-minute song.

"Do What U Want"

Gaga and Christina growled and belted their way through Gaga's Artpop single "Do What U Want" on The Voice in 2014. We didn't think the world could take this much diva, but it turns out it's exactly what we needed.

"Hair"

This ballad version of Gaga's pop anthem off her album Born This Way is an absolute tear-jerker. Dedicated to Jamey Rodemeyer, a Little Monster who passed away in 2011 at age 14, this performance is a stunning tribute to all of those lost to suicide.

"Viva La Vida"

Maybe there is some bias involved, but this version of "Viva La Vida" definitely rivals Coldplay's original. Yes, Gaga messes up the words, but it's just about the cutest thing we've ever heard. Watch out for 2:55-2:57--if there's one thing this woman can do, it's belt.
