Madonna Returns to the Brit Awards After 20 Years, Falls Onstage

It was the much hyped performance at last night's Brit Awards, the UK's equivalent to the Grammys. The Queen of Pop Madonna was performing on the show for the first time in 20 years. Last time, she opened the awards show with her 1995 single "Bedtime Story."

This time, she was closing the show with her new single "Living For Love." The performance started with a caped Madge storming down a catwalk to the main stage where she was to proceed to a flight of stairs flanked by dancers. Whilst on the stairs Madonna's cape was to be pulled off by two dancers, but as her dancers pulled the cape, they inadvertently yanked Madonna down the stairs backwards by her neck.

Madonna dropped the mic when she fell to the floor, proving she was singling live, stood up taking the cape off, and carried on like the boss that she is. What followed was a fantastic performance that showed any doubters that she was still on top of her game. The mix and choreography used for the performance were far superior to those that were performed on the Grammys the other week.

Madonna later posted a fashion sketch of her costume on Instagram along with the statement, "Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine!"

Well done, your majesty.
