Paul McCartney's Childhood Home For Sale

Paul McCartney's Childhood Home For Sale

Love the Beatles? Have an extra hundred thousand dollars to spare? This ultimate piece of memorabilia may be the perfect spontaneous investment just for you. Paul McCartney's childhood Liverpool home will be auctioned off today beginning at a value of $156,000.  The auction is taking place at the Cavern Club in England where the Beatles played a handful of their earliest shows; however, international bidders can still partake in the event via Countrywide Property Auctions tonight at 7pm Great Britain Time.

Liverpool attracts thousands of Beatles fans every year to tour famous sites the band has lived in and visited. McCartney calls the home up for auction on 72 Western Avenue "the first house he remembers living in." This is not the first Beatles home to go up for sale, though. In 2013, John Lennon's home on Newcastle Rd sold for over $700,000 while George Harrison's sold for around $240,000 in 2014.
