"How big do you think you're going to be?" ... "I don't.... I don't think I'm going to be at all famous."

Striking words from a young Amy Winehouse, as highlighted in the debut teaser trailer for the forthcoming documentary "Amy" directed by Asif Kapadia.

Kapadia, a BAFTA winner for his directing of 2010's "Senna", tells the story of the late, great Amy Winehouse through never-been-seen home videos and early interviews conducted during the early stages of her career.

Over images of a young, happy Amy played next to video of her being attacked by paparazzi outside her home, the trailer echoes lyrics from her hit "Back to Black" in a very eerie, yet effective manner.

Continuing her disbelief of ever reaching stardom, Amy is heard saying, "I don't think I could handle it. I would probably go mad, you know what I mean? I would go mad."

Sadly, many argue that Ms. Winehouse did. Battles with the paparazzi, mental illness, a tumultuous relationship and alcohol plagued not only her life but her career. Amy died in July 2011 due to accidental alcohol poisoning.

"Amy" premieres in the UK on 3 July. No further release dates have been confirmed. View the trailer below:
