Bonobo coming to Chicago this Saturday!

As his last set in the States before flying back to his homeland, UK DJ Bonobo will be spinning at Concord Music Hall this Saturday, May 30th.

Bonobo's music vibes within the genre gray area between trip hop, chillwave and downtempo, building dreamscape sounds with numerous layers of bubbly synth, jazzy guitar/bass, high energy percussion and surreal vocals. He has collaborated with artists like Bajka and Andreya Triana and toured with a full band, but this North American/Europe circuit is exclusively a DJ tour. Saturday's show will feature sets from Nightmares on Wax, Striz and Vapor Eyes. I have high hopes for the lights accompanying Bonobo's set -- his music is the kind best for swaying, staring and getting lost dreaming.
