Lauren Conrad Debuts Limited Edition Collection at NYFW
Lauren Conrad has been designing a line of clothes for Kohl's for a few years now, but this week she debuted a limited collection at New York Fashion Week. The 37 piece collection features price points ranging from $12-$300. The runway collection features beautiful spring hues such as cream, mauve, green, and rose. The pieces range from cute rompers and frilly dresses to sleek shirts and formal skirts. Additional details like lace, ruffles, and sequins adorn the trendy pieces. While the collection features price points that should please your pocketbook, the sizes range from 0 to 18 which allows this collection to truly be for everyone!
Most designers use New York Fashion Week as a ways to launch their collections into the awaiting buyers in hopes of selling pieces to the likes of Bloomingdales, Barney's, Nieman Marcusand Norstrom or to spike interest in stylists looking for the perfect award and events pieces to display on their A-list clientele. Therefore it may seem a little surprising to high street fashion critics that a brand that is already exclusively available at a department store like Kohl's would need to utilize the expensive runway spectacle that is required to partake in NYFW. On the contrary, you are seeing more department stores like Kohl's and Macys showing what their exclusive brands have to offer at NYFW to entice high end designers to contemplate designing an exclusive budget line for their stores, as well as show editors for the likes of Vogue and Marie Claire that they too have fashionable items available, albeit at an attainable price point for the average person.

I love this look! This is the perfect mixture of rebel and princess. The juxtaposition of the fitted faux-suede moto jacket with the organza ball skirt creates a punk yet high end look reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw.
