Fast Romantics, Coming up Fast
(Copyright: Light Organ Records / Postwar Records)
Toronto based band Fast Romantics recently released "Why We Fight", inspiring this writer to remember why he fights. The indie rock sound is reminiscent of many Canadian based indie stars, but also the keen sense of hunger for something more one might find in Bruce Springsteen or David Bowie song. Through lyrics and sound Fast Romantics develops a reminder that there is something bigger, something more than what we are out there and our common goal working toward achieving it As Fast Romantics singer/songwriter and guitarist Matthew Angus explains: "'Why We Fight' started out as a song about myself, about what it is that drives me to even be in a band in the first place. But it quickly evolved into an ode to anyone who finds themselves hungry for something that might seem out of reach."
