Ten Artists We Can't Wait To See At Ultra Music Festival

Ultra Music Festival is an annual electronic music festival held at Miami’s seaside venue, Bayfront Park. Founded in 1999 and named for the 1997 Depeche Mode album, Ultra Music Festival is a massive celebration of EDM. A huge lineup will take to the festival’s many stages on March 24, 25 and 26. With such a large variety of awesome EDM artists, it might seem impossible to decide who to see. So, to help with that decision, here are ten artists we can’t wait to see perform.
Robin Schulz
Robin Schulz is a German musician, DJ and music producer whose music often uses manual guitar riffs. One of his more popular singles, a remix of Lilly Wood and The Prick’s “Prayer In C,” does just that, repeating the same melodic guitar picking throughout the song. Schulz’s music could definitely be defined as “chill,” and will make a great soundtrack to Miami’s beachfront.

Black Coffee
Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, also known as Black Coffee, is a South African record producer and DJ who dabbles in such genres as house and afro-house. He began his career in 1995 and is still going strong, with five albums and a live DVD to his name. In 2015 he won “Breakthrough DJ of the Year” at the DJ Awards in Ibiza, and it isn’t hard to see why.

Adventure Club
Christian Srigley and Leighton James make up Canadian EDM duo Adventure Club. The duo originally started as a hardcore pop-punk band but soon moved on to EDM. The first song to put them on the map, a remix of Brand New’s “Daisy,” combines alternative rock with dubstep to create a sound both gritty and dreamily relaxed. Later, in 2012, the duo’s remix of “Crave You” by Flight Facilities was featured on an episode of Teen Wolf and is still likely to show up on EDM playlists across the Internet.

NGHTMRE
Tyler Marenyi, better known as NGHTMRE, is an American DJ based in Los Angeles. He works with such genres as trap, house, and future bass. With songs like “GUD VIBRATIONS,” a remix of the classic song “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch, NGHTMRE is definitely someone to get hype about.

Swanky Tunes
Vadim Shpak, Dmitry Burykin and Stanislav Zaytsev make up EDM trio Swanky Tunes. The trio formed in 1998 and was ranked 27 on the DJ Mag charts for 2016.

Slushii
Julian Scanian is an American DJ and EDM producer who goes by the stage name Slushii. Slushii is among the fresh blood of the festival, having only graduated from Lenape High School in 2015. At age 19, he has one self-released EP titled “Brain Freeze,” and seven singles.

Netsky
Boris Daenan is a Belgian bass and drum music producer who goes by the stage name Netsky. His style is described as “liquid funk” and his set is sure to be something we can move our feet to.

Getter
Tanner Petulla, AKA Getter, is an American EDM producer and DJ from San Jose. Getter has collaborated with big name artists such as Skrillex, and has three studio albums packed with songs that are sure to make you wanna jump.

GTA
GTA (“Good Times Ahead”) is an EDM duo comprised of Julio Mejia and Matt Toth. The Miami natives caught the attention of Diplo in 2011 and were featured on his 2012 EP “Express Yourself.”

Laidback Luke
Last but certainly not least, we recommend you check out Laidback Luke. Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen is a Dutch DJ and producer who was voted #17 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list in 2010. Tracks like XOXO are sure to leave you feeling “laidback.”
