Ten Artists We Think Will Be At Lollapalooza Chicago 2017

Lollapalooza, taking place August 3-6, 2017 at Grant Park in Chicago is one of the largest and most anticipated music festivals in the United States. The lineup is always an impressive array of up and coming bands, the hottest in pop and edm, and some of the worlds biggest bands! 2017 has definitely been a strange year for festivals, when a smaller fest like Boston Calling has a more impressive lineup than Bonnaroo, but, we think Lollapalooza will be taking the cake this year. Here are ten acts we think will be at Grant Park this summer.

Muse

Muse are an obvious choice, given that they announced a tour without a Chicago stop, and will be in the United States during Lolla weekend. They've also headlined the festival twice, in 2007 and 2011, so they have close ties to the event. If it helps, Matt Bellamy also confirmed they were performing at Lolla on Twitter. 

Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire have been teasing a new album release, and previewed a wonderful new track featuring Mavis Staples, which is embedded above. Arcade Fire seem likely to headline Lollapalooza because they haven't since 2010, and will be touring this summer. Fingers crossed!

Chance The Rapper

Chicago's own Chance The Rapper has been regarded as the "best living rapper" by Complex, is headlining many other festivals this summer including Bonnaroo and Firefly, and hasn't been on the Lolla lineup since 2014. 

Lorde

Lorde last performed at Lollapalooza in 2014, where her set was critically acclaimed. This spring and summer, she'll be performing at almost every major festival, and Lollapalooza will probably be no exception to that. 

Cage The Elephant 

Cage The Elephant last performed at Lollapalooza in 2014, and will be playing at all of the South American editions of Lollapalooza this spring. They will also be active and in the area around Lollapalooza, as they are also performing at Forecastle Festival. 

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar hasn't performed at Lollapalooza since 2013, and has released a lot of great music since then, including his acclaimed "To Pimp A Butterfly." He will also be headlining Coachella this spring, so he will be active and doing shows this year.

Justice

Justice last played Lollapalooza in 2012, and are currently active and touring. The weekend before Lolla, they will be at New York City's Panorama festival. 

Belle and Sebastian

Belle and Sebastian have never played at Lollapalooza Chicago, but have played at Lollapalooza Berlin, in 2015. The weekend before Lolla, they will be at New York City's Panorama, and it would be almost a missed opportunity for them to not be booked at Lolla. 

MGMT

MGMT have some new music coming soon, and last played at Lollapalooza Chicago in 2010. They have announced several festival dates this summer, so don't be surprised to see them on the Lolla lineup as well. 

Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails have a rich history with Lollapalooza, and have released some new music and will be making a live come back this summer. We can only expect (and hope) that Lollapalooza will also be one of the stops for Trent and co. this summer!
