Lady Gaga Vs Katy Perry at MTV Europe VMA'S.

Gaga, who is used to taking home most awards these days, has been nominated in five categories, including best pop, female, song, video and best live act. But the "Paparazzi" songstress better watch out as pop princess Katy Perry is also nominated for best pop, female, song and video! The "California Gurls" singer is also competing in the best world stage performance category.

Gaga and Perry have not always been best friends as Katy has often criticized Gagita for her fashion picks and the way she blends religion and sex, although that is nothing new as the Queen of Pop Madonna invented the controversial fashion statements a few decades ago.

Other artists up for awards are rapper Eminem who competes in the best hip hop, male, song and video categories, Usher, who hopes to snag the award for best pop artist, male artist and song, and Linkin Park who is nominated in the best rock category.

Both Katy Perry and Linkin Park will perform during the show that doesn't yet have a confirmed host. Last year's award ceremony was hosted by Katy Perry and featured performances by Beyonce, U2 and Jay-Z. Beyonce was the big winner and grabbed the award for best single for "Single Ladies," best female artist and best song for "Halo." Lady Gaga took home the trophy for best new act and Eminem won the title of best male artist.
