Radiohead will begin recording in September
Radiohead will reconvene in September and will begin work on ninth studio album. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood made the revelation to BBC Radio 6′s Mary Anne Hobbs, explaining, “We’re going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it’s sounding
Greenwood’s brother, Colin, made a similar proclamation back in April, when he told Nashville Cream that Radiohead plans to reconvene at the end of the summer and “make a plan” for the follow-up to 2011′s The King of Limbs..Radiohead’s return to the studio comes following a lengthy hiatus, during which several of the band members have focused on solo projects. Thom Yorke has of, course, recorded and toured with Atoms For Peace, Jonny Greenwood scored the new Paul Thomas Anderson film Inherent Vice, and drummer Phil Selway recently announced the release of a new solo album.
